In 2016, the Estero Historical Society completed its restoration of the historic Estero Creek School, which had been moved to the Estero Community Park in order to preserve it. Jeff McCullers delivered the keynote address at the dedication ceremony.

The Cypress Lake High School Class of 1987 honored Jeff McCullers in their class prank by painting his portable classroom hot pink, writing him messages of thanks and quotes from his lessons — and even signing their names.
